In celebration of National Historic Preservation Month, the Town of Castle Rock is offering free Town Trolley tours of historic landmark properties on Saturday, May 19. The Town Trolley tours will depart from the Castle Rock Museum, 420 Elbert St., at 9:00, 10:15, and 11:30 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. Trolley passengers will be taken to many of the historic sites in Castle Rock, given a brief history of the sites, and are invited to enjoy a complimentary tour of the Castle Rock Museum afterward. Reservations for the Town Trolley tours are now being accepted and can be made through the Castle Rock Museum at 303-814-3164 or e-mail crmuseum@comcast.net.

Castle Rock has at least 25 historic landmarks that have been approved by the Town’s Historic Board and Town Council by ordinance, as well as five properties that are designated as National Historic Landmarks on the National Register of Historic Properties. The Castle Rock Museum offers monthly walking tours through the Castle Rock Historical Society, and also offers walking tour brochures for Downtown Castle Rock and the Craig/Gould Neighborhood.
