Tickets on sale for the Future for Families Gala

The annual Future for Families Gala will be held on November 4 at the Inverness Hotel and Conference Center in Englewood. Join family, friends and the Douglas County community and enjoy a night of fun that supports a very important organization – the Crisis Center. The gala evening will be from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. with dinner, dancing, live and silent auction and live entertainment.
With its inception more than 30 years ago, the Crisis Center provides programs and services to those living in Douglas, Elbert and Lincoln counties. Statistics show that every nine seconds a woman is beaten or assaulted. Studies even suggest that up to 10 million children witness some form of domestic abuse annually. Men are also subject to domestic violence. With statistics such as these, it is an issue that cannot be ignored.
The organization realizes the impact of domestic violence and the need for change. Community involvement, visibility and support can help us make positive changes, educate the public, and provide for those affected by domestic violence. Please support the Crisis Center by attending the Future for Families Gala – it is sure to be a good time.
