Battle of the Badges Blood Drive returns for round two

After an overwhelmingly successful first year, the Battle of the Badges Blood Drive is back for Round 2, bringing local first responders and the community together once again to help save lives.

According to the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office, last year’s event exceeded expectations, with collective efforts resulting in 212 units of blood donated––enough to save and enhance the lives of up to 633 patients. The breakdown included 111 units on day one, 70 units on day two, and 31 units through the Vitalant virtual drive (where people could not make it on the days of the event, but they could get credit for donating on a different day). A record 39 first-time donors stepped up to give blood.

Building on that momentum, this year’s Battle of the Badges will take place over two days:

Day 1: March 24 | 12 p.m. – 4 p.m.

Parker Fieldhouse

18700 Plaza Drive, Parker

Day 2: March 25 | 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.

Douglas County Fairgrounds

50 Fairgrounds Road, Castle Rock
