Timber Trail Elementary parents enjoy food, drink and a live auction at the school’s fundraiser held at The Ridge at Castle Pines.
“Where hearts and minds connect” is more than a mission statement for Timber Trail Elementary (TTE)—it is a regular daily practice for the school community. This school year, parents, PTO and the school community have been busy installing new turf, planning staff appreciation days and hosting fundraising events.
The PTO and parents of TTE continued the momentum by trading in their everyday attire for evening dress at the school’s first auction event, Bids & Bubbles, held at The Ridge at Castle Pines. The PTO designed the new tradition to bring families together for a night of fun, while raising funds for the school, students and teacher wish lists. Every dollar raised will contribute directly to hydrations stations, campus improvements and classroom resources.
“The event would not have been possible without the incredible hard work and dedication of our PTO. They truly outdid themselves in planning a memorable night that gave our parents an opportunity to enjoy a fun evening out while supporting our students,” said Assistant Principal Michael Cordova.
Raffles, live music, interactive couples games, and food filled the event space. Auction items included Denver Nuggets tickets, spa days, concert tickets, experiences at The Children’s Museum of Denver and Denver Zoo Conservation Alliance, along with fun teacher experiences, such as pull the fire alarm during a scheduled drill with Principal Robert Thelen or run a 5K with Mrs. Lisa Hess.
“We are so grateful for the continued support of our parents, community, and PTO. Their generosity directly benefits our students, and we are already looking forward to next year’s Bids & Bubbles event,” added Michael.
