Celebrate Small Business Week

Small businesses play a vital role in the Castle Pines community, supporting local families, sponsoring youth programs, and helping shape the city’s unique character. From neighborhood restaurants and boutiques to professional services and home-based businesses, these enterprises keep the local economy strong while creating places where neighbors connect.

Castle Pines will join communities across the country in celebrating National Small Business Week from May 4 through May 9. The Castle Pines Chamber of Commerce (Chamber) has planned several events throughout the week to recognize local businesses and encourage residents to show their support.

Planned events include a Small Business Champions Happy Hour recognizing members who actively support fellow businesses, a Small Business Luncheon featuring an expert speaker on practical uses of artificial intelligence in today’s business environment, and a preview of the Chamber’s returning Health and Wellness Breakfast series focused on vitamins, supplements and proactive wellness strategies.

A highlight of the week will be the community Paint Recycling Event on May 9 (see E Guide insert page 21). This free event gives residents a convenient and environmentally responsible way to dispose of old and unused paint. Instead of storing unwanted cans in garages or throwing them away improperly, community members can safely recycle materials at no cost. The event supports both neighborhood clean-up efforts and broader sustainability initiatives, while providing an easy service that benefits households across Castle Pines.

While the week features several organized events, community leaders emphasize that the larger goal is encouraging residents to support the local businesses they rely on throughout the year.

“Small Business Week is a great reminder of how important it is to support the businesses right here in Castle Pines,” said Whitney Shank, executive director of the Castle Pines Chamber of Commerce. “When residents choose to shop and dine locally, they are investing back into their own community and helping local businesses continue to grow.”

Residents can find additional event details and registration information by visiting the Castle Pines Chamber of Commerce website, castlepineschamber.com.
