Schrader Family Cancer Center opens

On February 19, AdventHealth Castle Rock marked a significant milestone in expanding access to comprehensive oncology services with a ribbon-cutting ceremony for the new Schrader Family Cancer Center. The new center brings high-quality, whole-person cancer care closer to home.

The celebration reflects years of planning and strong community partnership. Through the Rock of Hope Campaign, more than 600 donors contributed to the project, accelerating its development and expanding critical access to cancer care.

“This center represents hope, healing and the power of community,” said Michelle Fuentes, CEO of AdventHealth Castle Rock. “Because of our donors and partners, patients in Castle Rock and surrounding communities can now access advanced cancer services without leaving the place they call home.”

In addition to the 17,000-square-foot center’s infusion and medical oncology services, radiation oncology is forthcoming, with a target opening in late summer 2027.
