Slattery’s Pub & Grill
Not a bad seat in the house
Family-owned and operated, Slattery’s Pub and Grill is a neighborhood sports bar located in an area dominated by office buildings and businesses near the Denver Tech Center. Slattery’s appeals to everyone by offering fresh food, cold drinks, and great specials, along with TVs both inside and outside so fans of any team or sport can catch their game. At Slattery’s, there truly is not a bad seat in the house.

Slattery’s, at 5364 Greenwood Plaza Boulevard in the Landmark Center, is the go-to spot for an authentic Irish pub experience in Greenwood Village. The pub was originally founded by the McLoughlin brothers, who were also behind several other Irish pubs around town. In 2019, current owner Bill Psyllas took over ownership and management. Bill also owns Hilltop Tap House in Parker, another pub offering a relaxed atmosphere and a different menu for patrons to experience.
Some may wonder how Greek heritage blends into owning an Irish pub. Greek culture emphasizes family, hospitality and a vibrant social life. Irish culture is rich in storytelling, music and dance centered around the strong community found in pubs known by the Irish word “craic.” Bill and his nephew Nikos Karpouzos, the general manager, wanted Slattery’s to honor a closely-knit family tradition with multi-generational support and a deeply-rooted belief in welcoming strangers with food, drink and warmth.
Bill and Nikos preserved the classic Irish pub ambiance while expanding the overall experience by adding menu items and installing TVs with sports packages for NCAA, NFL, NBA, and MLB games.
Walking into Slattery’s, guests are greeted by the traditional Irish pub feel of dark wood, mirrors and rich textures balanced by more windows, lighting and open space. The dining area offers plenty of seating, including numerous tables and booths ideal for watch parties and gatherings. The south-facing patio is especially inviting, featuring fire pits for cool Colorado nights.
The menu highlights traditional Irish pub fare, including popular dishes like corned beef and cabbage, Irish lamb stew, and fish and chips. Unlike traditional versions served with tartar sauce, Slattery’s fish and chips come with a house-made malt aioli. Their Irish nachos feature a creative twist on the classic, using seasoned, crispy waffle fries topped with salsa, cheese, jalapeños and other flavorful additions. Brussels sprouts are finished with bacon and cheese and drizzled with honey, while regulars rave about the wings tossed in a combination of Jamaican jerk dry rub and garlic serrano wing sauce.

Nikos’s personal favorites include the Bronco Burger, topped with applewood-smoked bacon, onion rings, jalapeños, BBQ sauce, and smoked cheddar cheese, as well as the Smothered Brunch Burrito filled with eggs, chorizo, potatoes, bacon, and cheddar, smothered in green chile and topped with diced tomatoes and green onions.
The extensive draft beer list is diverse with classics like Guinness and Harp selections but also a strong selection of Colorado craft beers that include Denver Beer Company’s Princess Yum Yum and Breckenridge Agave Wheat. Specialty cocktails like the Blueberry Lemon Drop are a crowd favorite, complemented by an impressive selection of Irish whiskeys including Jameson Black Barrel, Redbreast, and Teeling Single Malt. Weekly specials for sports enthusiasts include $4 mimosas and $5 Bloody Marys on Sundays, $1 off all drafts on Mondays and half off all wines on Wednesdays.
For those looking for more, brunch is served every Saturday and Sunday until 2 p.m. A weekday afternoon happy hour from 2 to 6 p.m. is popular with the after-work crowd. There is also a late-night happy hour from 9 p.m. to last call that caters to those working late in the nearby high-rise buildings or guests of Comedy Works across the street. Slattery’s is open until 2 a.m., with the kitchen cooking up food until midnight. Guests can also enjoy special events throughout the year, including Mardi Gras, International Women’s Day and St. Patrick’s Day.
Slattery’s welcomes everyone, from families and busy professionals at lunch to the happy hour regulars, the sports fanatics and the late-night crowd. Visit slatterys-pubandgrill.com or call 303-741-2115 for more information.
