Phase 1 of construction for the new Lagae Ranch development is now underway. Current work includes grading activity, clearing and grubbing existing vegetation, the first phase of realigning Lagae Road, and other road improvements. The City of Castle Pines is working to ensure that the existing vegetation is preserved and is only removing what is necessary.
When completed, the 249-acre development will include up to 231 single-family homes, 400 multi-family residences, an additional elementary school, 76 acres of open space, trails, civic uses, community uses, commercial uses and limited retail uses.
Construction is expected to last through 2018, and the dates below reflect the current schedule and progress. Dates may be subject to change due to unforeseen circumstances.
Phase 1 - Construction area east of existing Lagae Road:
Clean and grub existing vegetation: Complete
Overlot grading: May 2016 to January 2017
Utilities & roads: August 2016 to January 2017
North Lagae Road detour open: August 2016 to January 2017
Construct new Lagae Road: August 2016 to
South Lagae Road detour open: December 2016 to October 2017
Phase 2 - Construction area west of and including existing Lagae Road:
Clear and grub existing vegetation only as needed: November 2016 to January 2017
Remove existing Lagae Road: January 2017
Overlot grading: January to May 2017
Utilities & roads: March 2016 to October 2017
