4-H registration open through March 1

4-H is the nation’s largest youth development program empowering nearly six million young people, ages 5-18, to build confidence and develop leadership and life skills through hands-on learning. Globally, 4-H collaborates with independent programs investing in one million young people in 50 countries. Online enrollment for future members (and adult volunteers) is currently open with a deadline of March 1.
Sponsored by the USDA and administered locally by county-based Cooperative Extension offices, the four “H”s stand for head, heart, hands and health. Members choose at least one project that fits their interests and schedule. Program areas include STEM, agriculture, healthy living and civic engagement projects.
4-H members will be eligible for this year’s county and state competitions, including the Douglas County Fair & Rodeo at the end of July. To register, visit 4honline.com. For more information visit 4-h.org and douglas.extension.colostate.edu.
