On August 16, American Academy’s (AA) three campuses celebrated their 20th anniversary at Philip S. Miller Park in Castle Rock. The event was filled with music, food and heartfelt connection as families, staff, students and alumni came together to honor AA’s growth, academic excellence and community spirit.
Three original staff members—Mark Middlebrooks, Laurie Neil and Chris Todd—were recognized and given 20-year service awards. Also in attendance were the founders of AA: Douglas County School District Superintendent Erin Kane and board members and families who shared the original vision that brought AA to life in 2005.
