Crisis services consolidate to better serve Colorado

Colorado General Assembly bill SB25-236 combined the 988 Colorado Mental Health Line (988 Colorado) and Colorado Crisis Services (CCS) line, making 988 Colorado the primary way to connect to immediate and free emotional, mental health or substance use support 24/7. This transition reduces redundancies and delivers a more seamless experience for individuals when they need support the most, as well as leverages 988 as an easy number to remember.

As of July 1, all calls and texts to the CCS line at 1-844-493-8255 or 38255 were connected to 988 Colorado for assistance and services. Provider support remains the same and individuals seeking help can expect the same consistent services that they received through the CCS line.

To contact 988 Colorado directly, call or text 988, chat online at 988Colorado.com or visit walk-in locations throughout Colorado. All interactions are private and confidential. You will be connected with a trained specialist who will listen, support and work with you to determine the best course of action, and if needed, share some helpful information and resources.

For more information, visit 988colorado.com. The 24-hour crisis hotline is 988.
