Day on the greens for charity

On July 15th, the Country Club at Castle Pines Women’s 18-Hole group hosted its annual Charity Day. Nearly 70 women participated in the scramble tournament, raising more than $15,000. Each year, the group chooses a local organization to support, and this year the beneficiary was The Happy Crew, a nonprofit with a mission to end teen suicide and destigmatize mental health issues by creating a supportive, inclusive community where everyone knows they matter and belong. Golfers were treated to lunch, and each table was hosted by a Happy Crew student leader. Music was provided by Freddie Tre Walton––one of the original Happy Crew members who is now an artist in San Diego.
