ONSOLVE CodeRed
Life can change in a moment’s notice. Registering for CodeRED alerts from the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office (DCSO) allows mass notifications to areas where emergencies are occurring.
The system not only notifies citizens of evacuations for emergencies like wildfires, it also notifies when there is police activity in an area, bio-terrorism alerts, boil water notices, missing child reports and other emergencies.
CodeRED will alert you by phone, email and text and will also send instructions on what to do to protect life and property so you and your family can make informed decisions.
Residents and businesses are encouraged to sign up to receive CodeRED notifications. At no cost, users will create a managed account that allows access to modify notification settings and contact information as well as customize the types of notifications received.
To register, text DRCC TO 99411 to receive a direct link to enrollment or visit douglascountycodered.com and follow the instructions.
CodeRED messages will come from 866-419-5000 so users are encouraged to add “CodeRED” to your contact list in your mobile phone. All information you provide is kept confidential.
