Public safety’s role in business development
Last month, the Douglas County Economic Development Corporation Annual Breakfast & Awards featured guest speakers District Attorney George Brauchler, Sheriff Darren Weekly, the Board of Douglas County Commissioners, and additional representatives from the Douglas County Homeless Initiative.
The event focused on how public safety underpins economic development, and speakers highlighted the vital connections between law enforcement, workforce attraction, business investment and the County’s response to homelessness.
