RCHS business students give back

Students in Janna Robinett’s business class at Rock Canyon High School learned of a need and took strides to give back. The team made a business plan to purchase the materials to make blankets for Children’s Hospital.

“After receiving no donations during the first week, we decided to reach out to relatives and peers directly and post flyers around our school,” stated senior John Yamamoto (holding pink blanket in the photo above). “This strategy proved highly effective—we were able to raise the full $750 in just two weeks.”

The students crafted the blankets (below) and Ms. Robinett delivered them to the hospital in November.

Janna Robinett was one of the winners of The Connection’s Complete the Classroom contest – see story on the front page.
