Reading hits a home run

Road to the Rockies hit another home run with this year’s reading challenge. Program sponsor Sarah Phillips implemented the baseball-themed reading program at Buffalo Ridge Elementary (BRE) and Timber Trail Elementary (TTE), beginning last September. Readers tracked their personal monthly reading goals (“inning goals”) for chances to earn top reader inning awards. Final game time awards were announced in May.

TTE had a total of 160 students take part with 402,754 minutes read. BRE had 186 participants with a total of 374, 810 minutes read.
