The latest on parks development

On January 15, the Parks and Recreation Advisory Board (Board) for the City of Castle Pines met for updates on local parks Soaring Hawk Park and Coyote Ridge Park.

Hord Coplan Macht, the City’s landscape architect consultant, presented the Board with early design concepts, phasing options and cost estimates for Soaring Hawk Park, a park to be built and located near Cross Canyon Trail and Canyonside Boulevard, east of I-25.

The Board also approved a recommendation to City Council for a trail connection between Trail #17 at Coyote Ridge Park and the staircase adjacent to the Monarch Boulevard and Buffalo Trail roundabout.

Improvements for both parks will be paid for by the Parks and Recreation Fund with dollars collected via dedicated property taxes. For more information, visit castlepinesco.gov.
