Two Castle Rock nonprofits hold design contests
A new nonprofit focused on promoting the arts and culture in Castle Rock has officially launched and is kicking things off with a community logo design contest.
The Castle Rock Art and Culture Foundation (CRA), formed in fall 2025, invites residents to help shape its visual identity by submitting original logo designs that reflect creativity, community and the spirit of Castle Rock. The winning design will become the CRA’s official logo and be used across its communications, events and promotional materials.
“This is a chance for local artists and residents to help us tell Castle Rock’s story through art,” said CRA President Ken Greenberg. “As a brand-new organization, we’re building from the ground up and want the community to be part of that process from the beginning.”
The contest is open to residents in the Castle Rock region. Entries must be original and meet design guidelines, including suitability for color and black-and-white use, scalability, and inclusion of CRA’s full name. Artists may submit up to three designs.
Submissions are due by January 15, and the winner will receive a $100 gift card, public recognition on CRA’s website, social media and related press releases and have their design featured as the official logo. Designs will be evaluated based on artistic quality, creativity, relevance to Castle Rock and versatility across formats. Judging will take place in January and February, with the winner announced on March 1.

Tri Arts Project (TAP), a nonprofit also in Castle Rock, invites area artists to submit designs for the save-the-date and invitation for its third annual Art of Giving Gala in April. This year’s gala theme is COLOR—a celebration of vibrancy and creative expression, encouraging bold ideas, thoughtful design and imaginative interpretations.
The selected design will be featured across event materials and shared widely with TAP’s community of collectors, patrons and supporters. The contest is open to all artists and designers and the deadline to submit artwork is January 25.
TAP’s mission is to provide space and opportunities for the education, creation and presentation of the arts in Castle Rock and south Douglas County. TAP is a center to bring artists, educators, students and community members together to make arts accessible through classes, exhibits and community programs.
