Jada Horan
Freelance photographer and writer
Jada was born and raised in Colorado, and she has lived in Castle Pines for most of her life. She attended Timber Trail Elementary, Rocky Heights Middle School and Rock Canyon High School and was on yearbook in both middle school and high school. “It wasn’t until my freshman year of high school that I started really getting into photography, and in college I started to go down the journalism route, where I wrote for my school newspaper and became an editor during my senior year. I also started working as a freelance photographer and was president of the Photography Society for two years,” stated Jada.
Jada is a recent graduate from the University of Edinburgh, where she studied English Literature. As an editor for her university’s newspaper, she fell in love with writing and editing and decided to pursue a career in journalism. She has been a freelance writer for several years (her favorite gig being a scriptwriter for a cat-themed YouTube channel) and is currently working as an editorial assistant at an independent publishing company. Outside of professional work, Jada loves creative writing, reading books, and photography. We are thrilled to have Jada working with us, and we look forward to featuring her summer event photos next month.
