All sun and fun for the Castle Cup

Men from The Village at Castle Pines 4.0 tennis team, plus a few extra friends, enjoyed a day of tennis, golf and good times for the “sacred” honor of hoisting The Castle Cup trophy.
The annual event took place on Saturday, September 27, at Lone Tree Golf Club. First up was tennis, formatted in three rounds of doubles, with players switching partners every set. Next came golf in a best ball format, switching partners every six holes. Shenanigans were witnessed throughout the games and the day was capped off with an evening celebration.
In the end, it was Mike Gersack who came out on top this year. Win or lose, it is all about friendly competition and laughing with friends. The Castle Cup trophy will now take flight on various adventures throughout the year, like a Flat Stanley does, and shared across the group’s text chain, until the fun ensues again in 2026 and a new winner is crowned and his name is inscribed on the cup.
This year’s participants: Lance Bourque, Greg Brooks, Max Dickman, Mike Gersack, Steve Jackson, Brian McDonald, Mike McFarlin, Ryan McGlinn, Blair MacNeill, Alex Mercer, Greg Moseley, John Ramirez, Mark Rousseau, Mike Vernon, Mark Voss and Matt Westphal.
