Breakfast for dinner and a cause
A spirited crowd of almost 100 guests gathered at Trestles Coastal Cuisine in the Village Shops for a memorable evening in support of the Lone Tree Arts Center (LTAC).
The unique “Breakfast for Dinner” theme delighted attendees with a standout menu featuring fried chicken and waffles made using Village at Castle Pines resident Glynis Albright’s signature waffle mix.
The event was not just about the food—the night also showcased an intimate musical experience led by Grammy-nominated saxophonist Gerald Albright and celebrated vocalist Selina Albright, accompanied by music director James “JRob” Roberson. Their performances created an atmosphere of community connection through both music and mission.
“There was a really good turnout and a lot of community engagement, which was beautiful,” said Trestles General Manager Austin Bondi. “There were lots of familiar faces and some new ones too. Glynis’s waffles are a very popular item on our menu, and they were a hit at the event as well,” he continued.
The evening successfully generated crucial support for the Lone Tree Arts Center’s diverse arts programming. Funds raised from the event will directly benefit programs that foster cultural enrichment and arts education throughout the region. According to Marcus Turner, LTAC associate executive director for external relations, “The event raised nearly $15,000 in support of programs like SPARK! for people experiencing mild memory loss, sensory inclusive performances for people with autism and other sensory processing needs, and Seedlings, a series of interactive performances of pre-k children.”
Guests enjoyed an evening of soulful music, exceptional food and heartfelt conversation, all while contributing to the LTAC’s ongoing efforts to make the performing arts accessible to all.
