Taking math acumen to the next level

Vacquero resident Reagan Topping has gone from picturesque prairies to a job in finance. A recent graduate from CU Boulder, Reagan will begin her next adventure this summer at her dream job with Lockheed Martin.
While Reagan may not be working to build spaceships, her role as financial analyst for Lockheed Martin is a foundation for the cutting-edge technology, AI, aircraft and many other realms for which the company is known. Reagan stated, “The company culture and impact they have is something I have always wanted to be a part of.”
Graduating from the Leeds School of Business with a degree in finance and accounting, Reagan also achieved a High Distinction recognition.
“Growing up, I always excelled in my math classes and enjoyed the challenge of solving problems,” explained Reagan. “In college, I really enjoyed the introductory-level finance and accounting classes I was taking, and wanted to continue to build upon that knowledge.”
While at CU, Reagan’s younger brother, Brock, joined her there, matching his sister’s major. Brock graduated ahead of schedule, therefore the siblings were able to walk the podium together.
Mom, Steph, moved the family to Castle Pines in 2003 when Reagan was six months old. Reagan attended Rock Canyon High School after spending her elementary and junior high years at American Academy. As a child, Reagan was a dancer, soccer player, swimmer and gymnast. She and Brock have golfed together since they were little.
Today, Reagan still golfs, hikes, plays pickleball and is a sports fan. She loves to travel and attend concerts.
“I enjoy the golf courses, the community of people, the wildlife and open spaces,” concluded Reagan on the impact of growing up in Castle Pines. “Being here for over 20 years, there has been so much growth, and I always love seeing the buffalo and deer in my backyard.”

Reagan and her younger brother, Brock, have frequented The Country Club at Castle Pines since they were kids; both are still avid golfers.
