Update on Foundry Church build

Foundry Church (Foundry) is continuing to raise funds to build a new 14,000-foot facility on Mira Vista Lane, adjacent to Elk Ridge Park and American Academy – Castle Pines charter school. This is Phase 1 for Foundry’s “Building for More” campaign.

“We are currently raising capital to finance the building and are working with our architect and general contractor to finalize the design and cost,” stated Brandon Pearman, the family pastor at Foundry. He added that the 4.3 acres of land has been fully paid off.

Foundry’s vision is to build a worship center, seating 250 in an auditorium and also incorporate a children’s ministry and preschool for everyday use.

There will be many variables before the hopeful 2026 groundbreaking: continued fundraising, construction costs and the City of Castle Pines approval of the plans.

Until construction can begin, the Foundry land is receiving overflow dirt from the nearby storage unit that is currently under construction. Brandon stated that the dirt was part of the purchase contract and they hope to move it to a new location before breaking ground.

“While the land remains undeveloped, we encourage our community to walk the property and pray over Castle Pines and Douglas County,” Brandon stated. “Four prayer signs mark the perimeter.”

Foundry Church began 26 years ago as Castle Pines Community Church and has met in several local venues: first, the Castle Pines Community Center (which is now the Castle Pines North Metro District office); Buffalo Ridge Elementary School; a space in the King Soopers shopping center, which is now Pines Sports Bar & Grill; and they are currently meeting at DCS Montessori.

This will be the first church to be built in the city limits. (Journey Church is in an unincorporated part of Castle Pines, north of Castle Pines Parkway).
