Womenade’s spring gathering
The Womenade organization gathered for its spring fundraiser at the HOA2 clubhouse to support Sabrina, a single mom and lifelong resident and business owner in Castle Rock. Earlier this year, Sabrina was diagnosed with Guillain-Barré syndrome, a severe autoimmune disorder that attacks the nervous system, leading to paralysis. Sabrina is currently undergoing treatment, holding on to hope for a full recovery and a return to work.
Founded 21 years ago by a group of women in Castle Rock, Womenade helps neighbors in need. Each person contributes a potluck dish and $25 for a gift or “hand up.”
Womenade has three fundraising events per year: May, September and December. Everyone is welcome and no membership is required. To learn more, visit womenadecastlerock.com or follow on Facebook @WomenadeCastleRock.
