SCFD 2022 Free Days

Several area museums and gardens are offering Free Days in 2022. Although complimentary, some do require registration before attending the venues. Be sure to check each website for registration requirements.

Denver Art Museum – Advance ticket reservations are encouraged. Visit Free Days: Jan.11 & 22, Feb. 8, Mar. 8, and Apr. 12 & 24.

Denver Botanic Gardens – Advanced online registration is required. Free days are for regular garden hours only and do not include ticketed events. Tickets will be released on the 15th of the current month for the following month free day. Visit

York Street and Chatfield Farms – Free Days: Jan.17, Feb. 17, Mar. 16, Apr. 21, Jun. 7, Jul. 6, Aug. 16, and Nov. 25.

Plains Conservation Center – Free Days: Jan. 20, Feb. 17, Mar. 19, Jun. 16, Jul. 23, Aug. 18, Nov. 19, and Dec. 15.

Denver Zoo Lottery – Limited capacity. Ticket vouchers will be available during a three-day online lottery period, starting 10 days prior to each Free Day. Winners will be randomly selected and notified. Those selected will get tickets online for the entry time of choice. Five free tickets only per transaction. There is no free entry at the gate. Visit Free Days: Jan. 7 & 22, Feb. 6, Apr. 10, Oct. 8, and Nov. 1 & 13.

Clyfford Still Museum – Walk-ins are welcome, and reservations are not required. All visitors ages 2 and over, whether COVID vaccinated or not, are required to wear face coverings inside the museum unless they have a medical condition or recognized exemption. Visit Free Days: Jan. 20, Feb. 15, Mar. 19, Apr. 24, May 18, Jun. 10, Jul. 24, Aug. 5, Sept. 10, Oct. 18, Nov. 5, and Dec. 7.

Denver Museum of Science and Nature – Limited capacity and guests must follow local and state guidelines. Check before each free day for the latest recommendations and to reserve tickets in advance. Visit Free Days: Jan. 3 & 23, Feb. 7 & 27, May 1 & 23, Jun. 29, Aug. 17, Sept. 7 & 19, Oct. 9, and Dec. 5.
