Douglas County chooses four school board candidates

By Carin R. Kirkegaard

On Election Day, Tuesday November 2, Douglas County voters will choose four Douglas County School District (DCSD) school board candidates in the general election. All registered voters will receive their election ballots in the mail sometime the week of October 11. (See related story on page 4 and 5 for more details on the general election.)

The DCSD is served by a seven-member board who are elected to a staggered four-year term at regular biennial elections on Election Day of each odd-numbered year. Douglas County is divided into seven director districts and each director is elected at-large by all voters across the County.

This election cycle, voters will be selecting one director for district B, D, E and G. To view a list of candidates, visit https://www.dcsdk12.org/about/leadership/board_of_education/board_of_education_director_elections.
