Snow White night raises funds for libraries

On Friday, September 25, Douglas County Libraries (DCL) and its nonprofit, the DCL Foundation, hosted its 11th annual Fête des Fables Gala at the historic Highlands Ranch Mansion. This year’s theme was Snow White. The annual event not only celebrated a classic literary story but is the primary way the Foundation earns funding to support programs for the community in the seven DCL branches.

Guests at this year’s gala were treated to a wonderful evening of cocktails and dinner with lively entertainment including an interactive mirror experience, axe throwing, live music, a classic silent auction featuring curated packages and a wine pull.

“It was an enchanting evening celebrating the many wonderful programs and services that Douglas County Libraries provide to the community,” stated Jaime Gotlieb, DCL’s community services and partnerships manager. “Supporting the DCL Foundation funds programs for youth, adults and families while helping sustain our outstanding libraries for generations to come.”
