Golf sponsorship opportunities available … while they last

By Elean Gersack

Plans for the third annual Castle Pines Chamber Golf Tournament are in full swing. The joint fundraiser to support the chamber and this year’s charitable organization, The Douglas/Elbert Task Force, is planned for Monday, July 14 at The Golf Club at Pradera in Parker. A gorgeous venue for a great cause!

Sponsorship opportunities abound for this good cause, ranging from $200 to $5,000. Options include title sponsor, cart sponsor, food and beverage sponsor, contest hole sponsor, hole sponsor, hole-in-one sponsor and putting green/driving range sponsor. “We are so grateful to the businesses and individuals who help make our tournament possible,” said Chamber Vice President Carla Kenny.

With the event being held at the private club in Parker this year, it will give players a chance to enjoy a course they might not have the chance to play otherwise. “This is a really fun way to bring businesses and the community together,” shared Kenny. Early-birdie discounts for shotgun play ($600 per foursome or $155 per individual) are available now through June 14.

The chamber will offer a portion of the proceeds from the event to the Douglas/Elbert Task Force. “We love supporting the task force. They are an amazing group that supports our county. One visit there and you are sold on helping them,” said Kenny.

Joe Roos, director of philanthropy at the Douglas/Elbert Task Force shared that there are more than 900 homeless children in Douglas County and they help more than 6,000 kids each year with food, clothing and household items. In fact, children make up 41 percent of their client base.

“By helping sponsor the tournament, people are really helping kids in our neighborhoods and schools. Kids are always innocent victims of societies’ challenges,” said Roos.

Anyone interested in sponsoring the event or registering to play is encouraged to contact Sharon Kollmar at The Castle Pines Chamber at 303-688-3359. For more information, visit www.castlepineschamber.com.
