Remembering Our Quiet Heroes

by Lorraine Masonheimer

As Castle Pines North (CPN) prepares for Memorial Day and Independence Day festivities, many residents have family members in the military deployed throughout the world or are veterans of wars past. The burden falls especially hard on these neighbors.

Differing opinions on present-day and past wars can be heard across the country like the click of two billiard balls at high speed. The sense of personal responsibility, dignity and sacrifice shown by our military men and women and their families is deeply recognized.

This summer, set aside to remember with gratitude the men and women who serve and ask nothing in return…to remember the families who wait for loved ones to return home.

Castle Pines North (CPN) residents who have a family member deployed overseas or have a family member that is a veteran of wars past, please send details to The Connection. Send the name, branch of service, location of deployment and length of time served. A photo or a family photo is welcome. Please send an email with photo attachments to Contact by email.
