American Academy’s (AA) parent teacher organization (PTO) added a little flavor to this year’s open house on August 18; namely ice cream. Parents and kids alike enjoyed a sweet treat with the PTO’s ice cream social which was held in conjunction with the school’s annual open house. PTO members dished it up and accepted donations as families roamed in and out of the school.
The playgrounds and classrooms were buzzing as students toured their school, met their new teachers, and connected with old friends. AA’s new school year began for middle schoolers on August 19 and for elementary students on August 24. AA is celebrating its second year in the new building in Castle Pines North.
