Zoning update to Parkway Plaza Development

The City Council of Castle Pines unanimously approved an adjustment to the Parkway Plaza Development’s zoning regulations on August 8.

The development will occupy the southwest corner of Lagae Road and Castle Pines Parkway, directly west of King Soopers.  The adjustment will add self-storage units and a pet daycare to the applicable zoning uses for the land.  The Council also approved changes to the setbacks, or minimum distances a building can be constructed from the land boundaries.

Adding a self-storage unit to the development would reduce the anticipated commercial traffic for the area.  The developers of the property may still file change requests with the City before construction begins; there is no set date for construction to start.
