Do you have single gold or silver earrings with no match? Gold chains tangled, taking up space in your jewelry box? Silver coins given to you by your well-intentioned grandfather? Silverware sets that you never use? Old gold or silver watch-bands that you replaced years ago? These are the types of items that Castle Pines Jewelers would be happy to take off of your hands.

Located in the Village Shops at Castle Pines for the past eight years, Castle Pines Jewelers continues to be a local source of beautiful, custom jewelry. Designer Jeffrey Rein has been designing jewelry since 1982, and his daughter Lacee Tasker focuses her energies on the retail store. Buying gold and other precious metals from customers is another avenue in which the store hopes to better serve the Castle Pines community.

In recent years, the price of gold has increased enormously, and, as of press time, was selling for approximately $1,725 per ounce. The jewelry industry is making attempts to recycle existing gold and other precious metals.

A trend has emerged of hosting in-home jewelry parties, where someone comes into your home with a scale and a handful of cash to buy unwanted jewelry. And who hasn’t seen the characters in costume spinning “We Buy Gold” signs that have popped up on street corners throughout the metro Denver area?

There is something to be said for turning to someone you trust with your valuables and family heirlooms.

“We hope to support the community by offering the highest prices in exchange for gold,” said Tasker. “We are also available to consult with customers interested in selling, but who want to know more about the value of what they have.”

When Tasker receives gold or other items, she sends them to be melted down and refined before they are turned into beautiful, new jewelry pieces for purchase at Castle Pines Jewelers.

This St. Patrick’s Day might be a good time to gather up those gold coins from the leprechaun and make a trip to Castle Pines Jewelers for your very own pot of gold.
