On May 10, The Connection staff and members from Castle Pines City Council had the pleasure of joining other business and community leaders in Douglas County for the Douglas County Community Foundation (DCCF) Focus Forward breakfast.

The breakfast, which started three years ago, brings community leaders together to share resources and experiences to better assist the needs of those in Douglas County.

President and CEO of B:CIVIC shared with attendees the state of corporate philanthropy in Colorado. The good news is that giving is up!

Last year, the DCCF transitioned from its fiscal sponsor, Pikes Peak Community Foundation, in order to fulfill DCCF’s mission of being a catalyst for philanthropy and supporting nonprofits by providing foundation services in Douglas County to serve the community. They launched new branding in January, representing a fresh start for the foundation. We look forward to the many great things yet to come.
