GreenEarth Cleaners gathers coats for the needy

By Lisa Crockett

The weather is cooling down, and many residents of Castle Pines are pulling coats and jackets out of storage. But some residents of the Metro Area don’t have the luxury of snuggling up in an old favorite to fend off the cold. Green Earth Cleaners in Castle Pines is seeking donations of winter coats in good condition to lend a helping hand. During the month of October, Green Earth will give a $5 coupon to patrons who donate winter coats to be distributed to local charities.

This is a great cause and a great thing for the community to be involved in,” said the store’s general manager, Karen Thyfault. “There are a lot of people in need and they are so grateful for the help.”

Donations of men’s, women’s and children’s coats will be accepted during the store’s regular hours: weekdays from 6:30 a.m. until 7:00 p.m. and Saturdays from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. Green Earth will clean all coats before donating them. The store is located at 556 Village Square Lane. If you have questions about the coat drive, contact Karen Thyfault at 303-660-5522.
