News from HOA #1

Winter is rapidly going by and HOA#1 is gearing up for a fantastic spring and summer!

Front Range Recreation proved to be a great pool company to partner with and your HOA#1 pool committee is finalizing a contract with them for the 2009 season. HOA#1 will once again host a swim team at our pool. Practices will be from 7a.m. to 9a.m. Monday through Friday with swim meats held in the morning on 3 different Saturdays. On these Saturdays HOA#1 residents will be allowed to use the facilities at HOA#2. The swim meats will be done by 12:30p.m. at HOA#1 pool. Look for more details as the HOA#1 board finalizes the contracts.

The HOA#1 annual holiday party was held at our newly renovated clubhouse on December 13. A great time was had by all that attended. Santa and Mrs. Claus paid a visit and refreshments were provided.

The vandalism in our neighborhood has not abated. While your HOA#1 board has worked diligently to fix items destroyed, new things are being targeted. This is not isolated to our neighborhood. It will take a community effort to end this problem. If you have any information regarding the vandalism or notice any suspicious people or actions, please call the Douglas County Sheriff’s office at (303) 660-7505.

Your current board and their assignment are:

President – Doug Gilbert

Vice President – Eva Mitchell

Architecture Review Committee – Ken Bassett

Finance / Budget – Ken Hide

Pool / Tennis – Scott Ellison

Open Space / Landscaping – Eva Mitchell

Clubhouse / Social – Doug Hutchins

Communications – April Parcells

If you are interested in contributing to a committee, please contact your lead board member for that committee.

Our website is www.cpnhoa1.org. Please visit the site and log in to keep current on all current community information. Please note that HOA#1 will no longer be sending out communication emails through the Master Association email system. We will be using the new HOA#1 website email system. Please log onto our new website and register to continue receiving valuable community information. Your board will also be sending out 3 newsletters throughout the course of the year.

On Friday, December 19, 2008, the new HOA#1 Covenants and Declarations were approved by Judge Vincent White of the Douglas County District Court. The approval of these updated and compliant documents represents a major step forward for the Association. The HOA#1 Board extends its sincere thanks to all involved in this effort.

The Board will be implementing required changes in SB100 policies over the next few months. An informational newsletter outlining all changes will be mailed to residents in late January or early February.

The HOA1 board meets every third Wednesday at 7p.m. at the HOA1 clubhouse. HOA members are welcome to attend.
