The Elevated Edit – May 2026

Dear Readers,
It’s that annual rite of passage known as graduation. How can we bring our best consideration and adoration to the table? This major milestone deserves acknowledgment and by tying your generosity to the relationship, you really can’t go wrong.
What should you spend? Well, isn’t that the question? So, consideration is key. How well do you know the graduate? I think this is the first indicator of how much you will spend. I always defer to being as generous as you can afford to be. Maybe you could stretch a little for a loved one and keep the modesty for those distant relatives or acquaintances.
How about ideas for gifts? Money is always a good idea, but if you’re giving cash or a check be sure and put in a heartfelt note. Gift cards are always welcome, especially if you know what they like, maybe a restaurant near campus. School spirit gifts are usually a welcome present to accompany a check: water bottle, key chain or a school mascot stuffed animal.
Experiences are good, too. Who wouldn’t want tickets to a concert at Red Rocks or maybe an annual pass to the zoo or the museum? Sentimental gifts are classic, maybe an engraved item or a custom piece of jewelry to commemorate the occasion? And there’s always tech: consider earbuds or a smart watch.
Oh, and I still believe the gift should remain unworn, unopened or unused until the thank you is sent! Texting is fine, as long as it’s personal and heartfelt.
Congratulations to the Class of 2026!
Big Love,
Mrs. Abramovitz
