Jason Blanckaert is a Colorado native who has always appreciated his home state’s charm and as a civic leader is looking to strengthen community.

Jason grew up in the Arvada and Westminster areas and moved to Parker in 2017. That same year, an online encounter led him to Castle Pines, where he met his wife, LeaAnn, who has called Castle Pines home for more than two decades. Jason officially moved to the Castle Valley neighborhood in 2020. In 2022, Jason and LeaAnn married in Playa del Carmen, Mexico.

Professionally, Jason has worked in the IT industry for more than 20 years. In 2003, he founded Platinum Computer Services, a home-based business that serves as an outsourced IT department for small companies. Building a successful business instilled in him a desire to get involved at the local level.

Jason’s first foray into politics began with a run for the Westminster City Council. After moving here, he was elected to the board of the Castle Pines North Metropolitan District (CPNMD) in 2022.

“I joined to give back to the community,” said Jason, who was selected as president by his fellow members two years later. “I am honored to be one of the members of a board that works so hard for everyone,” he said. In his leadership role, Jason oversees day-to-day board operations, facilitates meetings and signs contracts. After completing his first term, Jason ran unopposed in May 2025 and is currently serving a term that runs through 2029.

When asked about the district’s current focus, Jason points to water quality. “The board is committed to providing the safest and cleanest water to our residents. We have made major capital improvements to our water-treatment facilities and continue to improve the rest of our systems.”

The Castle Pines Community Center on Yorkshire Drive is where the CPNMD has always held its meetings. With recent renovations to the facility completed, the CPNMD will eventually host open houses to offer a firsthand look at the water treatment process. “Water is one of our state’s most coveted resources,” said Jason, who wants neighbors to see exactly what happens when they “turn on the tap.”

This month, Jason and LeaAnn will officially become empty nesters. Lindsey, 21, is returning to Oregon State University for her senior year, while 18-year-old Lauren is heading to North Carolina as a freshman at Mars Hill University. With the girls away, the couple will rely on their two dogs—a 16-year-old Shih-poo named Maddie and a 7-year-old maltipoo named Angel—to keep the house lively. When it is time to unwind, the couple loves firing up the grill, hitting the golf course and gathering with friends to soak up Colorado’s beautiful weather.

Jason is dedicated to helping his neighborhood thrive. “I have a deep passion for this community. Our city is a beautiful place to call home, made even better by the wonderful people who live here,” Jason concluded.
