Anthonette Klinkerman
Freelance Writer

Anthonette Klinkerman, M.Ed., is a now-retired 27-year veteran English teacher, 25 of those years being spent right here in Douglas County schools. This is her second stint as a staff writer for The Connection, and she is happy to be reconnected (pun intended). She and her husband, Dave, married since 1999, moved to Castle Pines in 2004 after the birth of their son who is currently living and working in Boulder as a geologist. Her husband still teaches for DCSD, and together with two cats, they make their home in Castle Pines North. Anthonette has not only worked for The Connection and DCSD – she also created her “mobile etiquette school”, Courtesy Bootcamp™️, in 2009 and went on to win Business of the Year from the Colorado Business Women’s group in 2013. She enjoys exploring restaurants, reading, fitness, golfing, and writing and has three self-published books.

Emma Waggett
Freelance Writer

Emma Waggett is a recent graduate of CU Boulder with a degree in history, minors in English and anthropology and a certificate in British and Irish Studies. She has lived with her parents and brothers in Castle Pines for over 20 years, and finds tranquility in the local wildlife she sees on walks with her family. Emma enjoys using writing as an educational and creative outlet and looks forward to continuing to hone these skills while sharing “a little good news.” When she’s not writing, Emma enjoys antique shopping, museum visits, reading, watching historical dramas and baking anything that includes chocolate chips!
