Autumn is coming and so is the time to enjoy outdoor fall festivals. The fun ranges from hayrides and outdoor adventures to arts and crafts, games, music and more, with something for everyone. Here are some nearby festivals this month.

Highlands Ranch Fall Craft Fair
With a selection of handmade goods from local artisans, the craft fair is September 12 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. indoors at the Eastridge Recreation Center, 9568 University Boulevard. Admission is free. For more information, visit hrcaonline.org and search “fall craft.”

Castle Rock ArtFest
The town’s community art festival is September 12 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and September 13 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. in downtown Castle Rock along Perry Street and in Festival Park. With continual live entertainment featuring popular musicians, the festival highlights a variety of works by more than 110 artists from across the country. Admission is free. Larkspur Autumn Arts & Crafts Fest
This free event is September 19 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and September 20 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Larkspur Community Park in the middle of town. Anderson Farms Fall Festival
The festival at Anderson Farms, 6728 County Road 3-1/4, Erie, opens September 23 and runs through October 31, with many fun activities for the whole family, food, and live entertainment. Colorado Agricultural Leadership Foundation (CALF) Harvest Day

Douglas County Open Space Fall Festival
The festival is September 26 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Sandstone Ranch Open Space, South Perry Park Road, Larkspur. Parker Fall Fest
The Town of Parker celebrates America’s 250th, Colorado’s 150th and the town’s 45th anniversaries September 26 from 4 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at O’Brien Park, 10795 Victorian Drive. The festival blends familiar favorite activities with new experiences inspired by the town’s rich history and features an Artisan Market with handcrafted goods and a Children’s Entrepreneurial Market.
