Tall Tales Ranch breaks ground on new home
Future residents of Tall Tales Ranch stand shovel-ready at the groundbreaking for their housing facility which expected to open at the end of 2027.
On August 12, Tall Tales Ranch (TTR) broke ground for their future residential facility, four acres north of Schweiger Ranch and east of the RidgeGate Parkway light rail station in Lone Tree.
TTR is an inclusive residential community supporting people with intellectual and development disabilities (I/DD). The future residence will include one- and two-bedroom apartments for approximately 32 residents.
“This community is about creating a place where people living with intellectual and developmental disabilities are known, valued and given the opportunity to build full, meaningful lives,” stated Susan Mooney, founder of TTR. “To see that dream becoming real—and to know how many people have stepped forward to help us build it—is something we will never forget.”
TTR would like to thank community partners who have generously contributed their time, talent, expertise, materials and resources to the project: City of Lone Tree, the Board of Douglas County Commissioners, HomeAid Colorado, Shea Homes, Waner Construction, Fiore & Sons, KTI and the many other companies, tradespeople and individuals.
