Outreach at God’s Grace Church Reaches Needy

God’s Grace Community Church partners with Paris Elementary School and Open Door Youth Gang Alternatives. Each month during the school year, God’s Grace participants host the “Terrific Reader and Writer” program, honoring students in each grade that have improved reading and writing skills with a certificate and a book. Once a month, at Open Door, God’s Grace leads activities with at-risk youth while parents attend a required meeting.
During December, the church hosted 300 children and 100 parents at the Open Door Youth Gang Alternative’s Christmas Party, adopted five needy families and gave more than 70 bags of clothing to Paris Elementary School. They also welcomed Peter Mayer, lead guitarist for the Jimmy Buffet band, as he shared his musical talents. More than $2,600 was raised for this event and all proceeds?supported our outreach ministries.
