Posing for the camera, this beautiful buck searches for a snack in a backyard in Winterberry. According to the Colorado Department of Wildlife, deer herds move to lower elevations closer to homes during the winter months. It is illegal in Colorado to intentionally place or distribute feed or salt blocks for big-game animals. The Wildlife Division reminds homeowners that big-game animals are “better off left to obtain their food naturally.” Learn more at
