"Rock the Runway" at Rock Canyon to Raise Funds for after-prom party

By Lisa Nicklanovich

The Rock Canyon High School (RCHS) Annual Fashion Show will take place on February 10 at the DTC Marriot. The theme this year is “Rock the Runway” and celebrates the school’s 10-year anniversary. The show is the primary fundraiser for the RCHS after prom party on April 13, which ensures that students have a safe, supervised, substance-free environment for the evening of prom.

“Rock the Runway” includes a silent auction that starts at 11a.m. Auction items include jewelry, themed baskets, sports tickets, senior photo packages, vacation home getaways, and an African safari trip! Purchase a ticket for $35 if you’d like to enjoy the catered luncheon and fashion show with models from RCHS. Top trends and hot fashions with be on the runway from Buckle, Gap, PacSun, Lucky, Al’s Formalwear, David’s Bridal, and more. There will be raffle prizes and many surprises.

RCHS parent Jennifer B. exclaimed, “This is a fabulous event that brings families and friends together to watch the students ‘strut their stuff’ wearing the latest outfits and dancing to great music. Students who have graduated continue to attend the event and it brings students, parents, and the community together for a very worthy cause.”
