Pet Famous!

This is Chloe the cat; she was a rescue that was adopted at the Buddy Center in Castle Rock by the Dunbar family. Chloe is now a resident in Forest Park.

The Castle Pines Connection is compiling photographs of family pets to be featured in upcoming issues of the paper. Send us your fun pet pictures along with your pet’s name, breed, family name, and neighborhood to Editor. . Editor’s pick for “Best Picture” will receive a $50 gift certificate to The Pet Stuff Place at the Village Shoppes at Castle Pines. Also…

Enter your pet’s photo into the Dumb Friends League annual pet calendar contest, and he/she could be selected as a “Pet of the Month.” All qualified entries will be featured in the 2011 wall calendar, plus every entrant will receive a FREE calendar. Entries must be postmarked by August 15, 2010. The fee is $35 to enter, with proceeds benefiting the homeless animals at the DFL. Enter online at ddfl.org, or call 303-751-5772 for more information.

Meet Buddy. He is a seven-month-old Rodesian Ridgeback, German Sheppaard, Labrador Retriever mix. He was rescued from an Indian reservation in Toas,New Mexico by Colorado Puppy Rescue (www. coloradopuppy.org ) and is now a member of the Wiebold family. Buddy is the official mascot of The Castle Pines Connection. This is Buddy at the community Independence Day celebration.
