South Suburban offers a lot of fun for the summer

South Suburban Park and Recreation District is offering a specially priced summer pass from May 26 – September 3 at its four recreation centers and four outdoor pools.

Unlimited fun all summer long at Goodson, Buck, Sheridan, and Lone Tree recreation centers and at Harlow, Franklin, Holly, and Cook Creek outdoor pools. You can purchase a pass at any recreation center now. Passes will be available at the outdoor pools starting on opening day, May 26.

For information about the Summer Adventure Pass and other summer activities, visit www.sspr.org.  Outdoor pool summer swim lessons begin Monday, June 4 at 9 a.m.

Local Artists Display Artwork in June
Throughout June at Lone Tree and Goodson recreation centers.

Bonnie Bressmer is displaying her work “Color Color Color!” beautiful collection of watercolors and her newest passion – pastels at Goodson Recreation Center, 6315 S. University Boulevard, Centennial. Laurie Juergens’ artistic, candid photographs capture the spirit and essence of her subject in an environment in which they are comfortable can be seen at Lone Tree Recreation Center, 10249 Ridgegate Circle, Lone Tree. RidgeGate Walk Concert #2 FREE
Enjoy the summer sounds in June, July and August outside Lone Tree Recreation Center 10249 Ridgegate Circle.

Kick your dusty boots back and enjoy this fabulous concert on Wednesday, June 6, 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Bring a lunch and listen to Chuck Pyle, famed cowboy singer/songwriter, known for his virtuoso guitar, sly Will Rogers like wit, as well as for composing the PBS theme song “Spirit of Colorado.” For more information, contact vickiew@sspr.org.

RidgeGate Nature Hikes FREE
Family-friendly nature hikes in RidgeGate’s open space, the Bluffs Regional Park in Lone Tree.

Join South Suburban nature guides at 6:30-8 p.m.:

RidgeGate Yoga in the Park FREE
Once a month through September come to Prairie Sky Park west of the Lone Tree Recreation Center 10249 Ridgegate Circle.

This month Yoga in the Park is held June 27, 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. and taught by South Suburban instructors. Bring your own yoga mat, or one will be provided for you. In case of rain, class will meet inside the Lone Tree Recreation Center. All levels welcome and experience welcome. For further information, call 303-708-3500.

South Suburban Junior Golf- FREE
All Summer!
Our four golf courses offer free golf for youth 17 and under all summer on Saturdays and Sundays at 5 p.m. at Littleton (303-794-5838 and Family Sports Golf (303-649-1115) Courses, and at 6 p.m. at South Suburban (303-770-5500) and Lone Tree Golf (303-799-9940) Courses. Reservations can be made up to three days in advance. Call golf courses for details.
