How To Get the Best Massage every time

We have all been there – you wake up one morning with a stiff neck because you slept wrong, or you over-did it on the weekend because you are a “weekend warrior” and can’t help yourself.  Now it’s time to book a massage to address your issue. This month’s Fast Five Formula identifies tips on how to enhance your massage therapy experience:

1: Set a Goal!   Identify what you want to get out of your massage.  Relaxation? Rehabilitation?  Pre- or post-sports massage?
2: Experience Counts!  Do research by reading therapist reviews and bios or call the studio to find the best therapist to meet your needs.
3: Speak Up!  Communicate with your therapist before your session about how you’re feeling, your medical history, and what you expect from the session.  This will keep your session focused on your specific goals.
4: Provide Feedback!  Tell your therapist throughout your massage whether they are focusing on your tight areas and providing the right amount of pressure.
5: Find Your Comfort Zone!  Whether you prefer a heated table, aromatherapy, dim lights or a particular kind of music, everything about your massage should be focused on making you feel good and comfortable.
