Dozens of Castle Pines Chamber of Commerce members (CPCC) celebrated a busy and successful year with CPCC President Sharon Kollmar and Vice President Carla Kenny at CPCC’s annual luncheon. New member Gabriel’s Restaurant and Tuscan Bar located in Sedalia served as host for the well-attended event. Guest speaker Dr. Stephen Webber, shared his experiences about traveling on mission trips to several different foreign countries to help correct the cleft palates of children in need.

CPCC was established in 2008 and has grown to 200 members. Highlights of CPCC’s 2013 events and achievements include record-breaking attendance at the annual banquet at Sanctuary, the start of a third business referral group, a golf tournament at The Ridge at Castle Pines North, and making a significant donation to this year’s non-profit recipient, Wellspring Community.

In addition to new business ribbon cuttings, after-hours gatherings, and many other events, CPCC’s goals for 2014 include launching a “Women in Networking” program and providing more educational opportunities for CPCC members.

As part of the luncheon, CPCC members elected a new board of directors for 2014 and will be selecting new executive committee members at their January meeting. Current and new board members are as follows: Dave Weaver (Douglas County Sheriff), Jodi McKillip (The McKillip Group), Cherie Ellingson (Douglas County Libraries), Yolanda Bruce (BYG Promotions), Tammy Lopez (Allstate Insurance), Steve Meyer (Colorado Benefit Advisors), Nicole Moses (The UPS Store), Terri Wiebold (The Castle Pines Connection), Kristin Adams (Elements Therapeutic Massage), Stephen Allen (Castle Pines North Metropolitan District), Jayne Friesen (Guaranty Bank & Trust Company), Glenn Hagen (Law office of Glenn Hagen, P.C.), Wayne Ruegge (Wayne Ruegge, CPA, PC), and Greg Segal (UBS Financial Service).
