Castle Pines Community Church (CPCC) has a lot to celebrate this Christmas. On Sunday, December 8, CPCC welcomes new senior pastor Chuck Angel, his wife Jill, and their family (pictured right) to the Castle Pines community. Angel will begin his ministry and give the sermon the same day, followed by an official installation celebration on Sunday, January 12.

Angel holds a bachelor’s degree in Biblical studies from Criswell College, a master of divinity from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, and a doctorate of ministry from King’s Seminary. Angel’s twenty-four years of ministry experience include serving at four different churches in three different states, ranging in congregation attendance from a few hundred to several thousand.

Angel said, “My passion is to walk alongside real people and help them journey from where they are to where they want to be; where God wants them to be. This simple mission is the ‘what’ and ‘why’ behind my pastoral ministry.”

The Angels have been married for twenty-four years and have four children – two in high school and two in college. Their short exposure to Colorado and the Castle Pines community during the interviewing process has already made a strong impression on them. “There are a couple of things that stand out about the Colorado culture: the beauty of the surroundings and the sense of community people feel in living here,” said Angel.

As CPCC’s new pastor, Angel envisions doing more community-based events, programs, and services to maximize CPCC’s mission and role in the community. Angel explained, “As we listened to members talk about CPCC, we could tell that they had a sincere heart for people. When I asked what they liked the most about the church and what they felt was the church’s greatest asset, their answers were consistently the same – the people. That appealed to me and I became convinced that with their heart for the community and my experience, we could have the opportunity to see God do some special things in and through the church.”

Castle Pines Community Church is located at 7280 Lagae Road in the King Soopers shopping center. For more information about Castle Pines Community Church, call 303-663-9755 or visit www.castlepineschurch.org
