Fun, food and fashion were enjoyed by all

New member Kathy Pollock enjoyed being one of the models in the fashion show and wearing beautiful clothes from Parker Panache Boutique. “I’m a new resident who recently moved out here knowing absolutely no one. This group of women has been so incredibly warm and welcoming and has made my settling in so much easier than it would have been otherwise. They are also great fun.”

The Castle Pines Village Garden Club (CPVGC) enjoyed a wonderful luncheon and fashion show on a beautiful spring day in May at the Castle Pines Golf Club. Sixty-eight women attended the luncheon and celebrated the end of another successful year of gardening, friendship and charity.

The ladies gathered together for this annual event and watched several of their members strut their stuff in stylish ensembles courtesy of Parker Panache Boutique. Parker Panache, which has been in business for 11 years, is a unique boutique which sells a wide range of high quality and high fashion clothing, as well as accessories and jewelry. Brenda Zdanowicz is the owner of the boutique and she thoroughly enjoyed working with the ladies. “The [CPVGC] ladies were so welcoming and very fun,” remarked Zdanowicz. “I felt that the clothing we showcased spoke to the ladies, which was an honor for me, because this group of women clearly has a very high level of taste!”

The CPVGC began in 1994 and brings together women who enjoy gardening, socializing, and giving back. The club hosts numerous events throughout the year from June to May, and it is always open to new members who need not live in Castle Pines Village. Each event, including three luncheons, is coupled with raising money for a worthy cause. Club member Grace Gehret remarked, “I enjoy everything about CPVGC from the wonderful programs to the special events and field trips. Our members not only enjoy gardening, but we enjoy spending time with the friends who we have met through the club.”
