$50 pet adoptions through June 30

Information and photo provided by The Dumb Friends League

Homeless cats and dogs are on the rise in the Denver area. The Buddy Center and the Dumb Friends League (DFL) Denver shelter have received 1,500+ animals more in recent months compared to the same period last year.

To help ease the load at the centers and more importantly, to find good homes for these pets, the DFL is promoting a $50 adoption fee through the end of June at both shelters.

All feline and canine adoption fees include spay/neuter, vaccinations, microchip ID implant and a free office visit with a participating veterinarian. The $50 adoption fee applies to adult cats and dogs as well as kittens and puppies.

Animals available for adoption can be seen online at www.ddfl.org or in person at the Buddy Center in Castle Rock or at the Dumb Friends League’s Quebec Street shelter in Denver. For more information, call 303-751-5772.
